About me

IF YOU HAVE MADE IT UNTIL HERE IT WILL BE FOR ONE OF THESE TWO REASONS: YOU KNOW ME OR YOU SHARE THE PASSION TO TRAVEL.

Hi, I’m Raquel. Rachel for some of you. This is my story.

Back in 2010 and 2011.

In 2010 my life was suddenly upside down. My father lost the battle against cancer, quickly and unexpectedly. From that moment on, I felt completely lost. I did not know what my place was in all this new situation that was about to come. Hey!, do not be scared, this is not a story with a sad ending! Just one year later, in 2011, That year was when everything began. The desire to travel the world was unleashed in the other part of the globe. Specifically in Toronto (Canada). Almost two months of living in the Canadian capital to improve my English. Living with a family from the Philippines. I met incredible people that, today, I can call friends and I have shared countless adventures around the world, worked together with and lived unforgettable experiences.

I will be forever grateful to the Orphans Foundation of the National Police Forces of Spain for giving me the opportunity to live that experience that changed the course of my life and meant so much to me. 11 countries and 44 cities, that was the results of deciding to explore Europe by car alone, in September 2014. Yes! You can be a woman and travel alone. I could never describe what it means to leave everything and just go on an adventure just with yourself, with your thoughts. 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Looking at the present. The year 2018. On June 15 of this year, I left my job in Berlin and finally launched into the adventure of starting to share my stories and dedicate myself to what I really love: travelling with my inseparable hairy friend, my dog Morrison. In May I moved from a village, in the middle of German nature, to the busy life of a city like Berlin. Step by step I am discovering the secrets of this incredible city. In these 7 years, there have been very happy moments and bitter moments as well. We cannot be happy 100% of the time. Otherwise, wouldn’t that be exhausting?. Sharing my experiences, adventures, struggles and crazy things I want to show you that DESPITE THAT LIFE HAS ITS VERY DARK MOMENTS, IT IS TOTALLY WORTH IT TO ENJOY THE 1,440 MINUTES THAT EVERY DAY HAS FOR EACH OF US.

WOULD YOU STAY WITH US TO SEE WHAT ADVENTURES ARE ABOUT TO COME?
